Public Policy Impact

The Maternal and Child Observatory (OMI) promotes the generation and use of scientific evidence to strengthen public policies aimed at guaranteeing the right to health and adequate nutrition for women, children, and infants in Mexico and the region. Our work focuses on translating knowledge into clear recommendations and strategic actions that enhance nurturing care, promote healthy food systems, and reduce inequality gaps.

Through dialogue with decision-makers, interinstitutional collaboration, and active participation in national and international spaces, we contribute to ensuring that the maternal and child health agenda remains a public priority grounded in human rights, interculturality, and social justice.
